THIS FIRST STAGE WILL BE AN UNMANNED THREE PART SHIP THAT WILL BE LAUNCHED TO EUROPA. ONCE IN A STEADY ORBIT AROUND EUROPA THE SHIP WILL DEPLOY A SATELLITE. THE SATELLITE WILL DROP INTO A LOWER ORBIT AND SEARCH FOR A SUITABLE PLACE TO LAND. THE SHIP WILL STAY IN ORBIT FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR AS THE SATELLITE FINDS THE BEST LANDING POINT FOR THE FOLLOWING TWO PROBES.

ONCE A LANDING POINT IS FOUND THE SHIP WILL DEPLOY THE SKY CRANE AND THE TWO PROBES AND LOWER THAN TO THE SURFACE. THE CRANE WILL DROP A ROVER AND AN ISMW ONTO THE SURFACE. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED WILL BE VITAL TO THE SUCCESS OF MISSIONS IN THE FUTURE.
