The ISMW stands for Ice and Sub Marine Worm. The ISMW is a mechanical worm made of eight one foot segments capable of moving through ice and water. The head of the worm is equipped with a heating circle that melts its way through the ice. In the middle of the head there is a gap for collecting ice and water that passes through, the ice will pass through the worm and will be analyzed for its chemical composure. The ISMW will have an array of radioactivity detectors, movement and positional trackers, radar scanners, and x- ray scanners. All three probes will create detailed information of Europa and possibly discover life.
